Inklings in WA
If you live in Western Australia and your baby is aged between 6-18 months, you may be eligible to participate in Inklings. Inklings is funded for eligible families in WA.

Inklings Program in WA
Inklings is funded in Western Australia through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) as part of a partnership between the NDIS, The Kids Research Institute Australia, Child and Adolescent Health Service and WA Country Health Service.

The 10-session program uses short videos of a caregiver interacting with their baby to help them to better understand the different ways that their baby communicates their thoughts, feelings and needs. With the guidance of a trained practitioner, caregivers will learn strategies to build on their own strengths as a responsive communication partner for their baby.
The program is delivered for 1 hour fortnightly within six months. Inklings sessions are delivered in-clinic, at home or via telehealth.
There are no out-of-pocket expenses for eligible families participating in Inklings in WA.

Can my baby participate?
To participate in Inklings in WA, babies must be:
- Between 6-18 months of age at the commencement of the program.
- Families must be based in WA for the duration of the program.
If these requirements are met, the next step is to complete a questionnaire about your baby's development.
